  • Do you think you are (or you would be) a better parent than your own parents? Why or why not?

I don't think it's a matter of "better" per se than it is, just a different way of parenting.

If you look and dissect our generation verses our parents generation... our previous generation were pretty unBiblical in regards to how they raised us....

I mean clearly... they tell us to prioritize our lives around what?  School... career... living life... oh and by the way, lastly, get married.... that translates to me as, "Suck and deplete all the fun out of life then get a girl and let her have what's left."

not to mention how "practical" thinking has overtaken steps of faith as God leads.  Not to say practicality isn't there, because there is a mode of wisdom that is needed... but when practicality overtakes trust in God based on His Word... which is induced into us by our previous generation... like it's practical experience and statistics matters more to life than a life walking and pursuing Jesus....

i would say I would raise my future kids in the exact light of what Scripture says... raise my kids to love Jesus, love my wife as Jesus, live my life for Jesus....

our parents never had that and never instilled it to us... so...

it's not better... but more Biblical is what I'm sure I'd do...
